What was the most inportant thing you learned in Model U.N? The most important thing i've learned in Model U.N is new things about many countries in the world and how lucky we are to be in the in the U.S because we have many things that other contries don't have, we should apriciate what we have and not take it for granted.
How can Model U.N be applied to your everyday life? Well i think Model U.N applies in our everyday life, i don't know if you realise it but it does. Just like in Model U.N we try to find a resolution to an issue we do the same in our everyday life. For example lets say you got accne, thats your issue, your resolution, proactive, the results, clear skin. so yeah, we model u.n applies in our everyday life.

CHILD SOILDERS
There is a huge problem going around the world. In many countries around the world there is armed forces forcing or and inducing, children to join, with all types of lies and fake promises, like giving food, clothing and even money, but they’re all lies. Sometimes there are kids who feel that they have to because of the circumstances in which they’re living in or the lack of education access. Once the kids are in the armed forces they’re treated badly, they’re forced to do crimes, to do harmfull acts. Also girls are forced to or induced to join, and the same way, with fake promises and lies, and sometimes girls join it just to escape domestic violence, enforced marriage, and or abuse, they see that as their way out. In which their problems just gets worse because when they’re in the armed forces they get treated really bad, they get physically brutally abused, and they get raped. When a child is involved in a conflict, is most likely for them to get killed or injured. Child soldiers are forced to live under harsh conditions, in which they have not much food, and very little or no healthcare.
In Canada there are strict laws in joining armed forces. Canadian laws strictly respect the human rights. If you want to join armed forces you can, under the terms of the national defense act, most Canadian forces programs permit enrolment at age of 17, although 16 year olds could enroll in the Regular officer training plan (junior program). Canadian 16 & 17 year old forces are allowed to leave anytime without penalty. Children are protected with their child rights, they’re given their education, and there is no armed forces kidnapping them or inducing them into joining them, instead they have to be a certain age to join it, and it has to be voluntary. Canada has no problems with child soldiers in the country. Right now Canada has a program called WARCHILD and it’s currently helping the campaign HELP CHILD SOILDERS which helps children around the world who have been in forced or drafted into armed groups. The charity is raising funds for humanitarian assistance to war affected children around the world, as well as raising Canadian involvement in advocacy for the children around the world who have been forced or drafted into armed groups.
